Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using streamboard ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and the Acceptable Use Policy in section 9 below. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
The Service is operated by Dr Jacob Cable, an individual sole trader trading as streamboard, with a contact address at 7 Kellands Row, Kingsbridge, TQ7 1LT, United Kingdom. In these Terms, references to "streamboard", "we", "us", or "our" mean Dr Jacob Cable trading as streamboard.
2. Description of Service
streamboard is a generative-UI dashboard service. The Service lets you author persistent, versioned dashboards through AI tools (MCP, CLI, SDK), render them at hosted viewer URLs, and push live data into bindable slots via per-dashboard authenticated tokens. The Service includes email notifications for transactional events such as account verification and account-deletion confirmations.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By signing up, you represent that you meet these requirements. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
4. User Accounts
You may create an account using email and password, or by authenticating via a supported third-party provider (GitHub or Google). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You may request deletion of your account at any time from Settings → Account; a 30-day grace period applies before permanent erasure (see Privacy Policy section 8).
5. Subscriptions and Payments
streamboard offers a free tier and a 14-day free trial of paid features at signup, with no credit card required. Paid subscriptions thereafter are managed through our payment provider, Polar, whose terms apply to all payment processing.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled in advance via the customer portal. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers.
6. Money-back Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with your subscription within 14 days of your first payment, contact support@usestreamboard.com for a full refund. Refunds are processed manually within 5 business days. The guarantee applies only to your first paid subscription period.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of the streamboard specs, state data, and other content you create ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant streamboard a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, render, and serve your User Content solely to provide the Service to you and any audience you have made the content visible to.
When you author a streamboard through an AI tool (MCP client, agent, IDE plugin), the prompt and any source material you share with that tool is handled by the tool's provider — not by streamboard. streamboard receives only the final spec your tool submits via its authenticated session.
8. AI-Generated Content
Streamboard specs authored by AI tools are stored and rendered by the Service exactly as the tool submitted them. streamboard does not generate, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of AI-authored layouts or the data pushed into them. You are responsible for the content you author and publish. We do not use your User Content to train models.
9. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service in any way that is unlawful, infringes others' rights, or harms the Service or its users. Specifically, you may not:
- Illegal content. Upload, host, push, or share any content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction or in the United Kingdom — including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), terrorist content, content that incites violence, or content that is otherwise illegal. CSAM and terrorist content will be reported to the relevant authorities.
- Harassment and hate. Use the Service to harass, threaten, dox, defame, or incite hatred against any individual or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Malware and security abuse. Use the Service to distribute malware, viruses, phishing pages, or any code designed to harm users, devices, or systems. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data, accounts, organisations, or to streamboard infrastructure.
- Spam and SEO abuse. Mass-create public streamboards or use the public viewer surface to host search-engine spam, low-value redirects, or unsolicited bulk content. Do not abuse organisation invites for spam.
- Intellectual property infringement. Upload or push content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party. Rightsholders may submit takedown notices to support@usestreamboard.com with the URL, the work allegedly infringed, and a good-faith statement of ownership; we will respond within a reasonable period.
- Rate-limit and quota circumvention. Do not script around per-token or per-organisation rate limits, mint excess tokens to evade quotas, or otherwise game the platform's resource limits.
- Scraping and bulk extraction. Do not mass-scrape public streamboards or the marketing site. Programmatic access to your own boards is available via the MCP, CLI, and SDK — use those instead.
- Reverse engineering and resale. Do not reverse engineer the Service, copy its design or behaviour, white-label it, or resell, sublicence, or rent your account credentials or data tokens.
- Misrepresentation. Do not impersonate any person or entity, falsely represent your affiliation, or create accounts using false information.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice depending on severity. Repeated or egregious violations may be reported to law enforcement. To report abuse on a public streamboard, email support@usestreamboard.com with the URL and a description of the issue.
10. Content Responsibility and Moderation
You are solely responsible for all User Content you author and publish, including any data you push to live-data slots and any content visible on public streamboards you create. streamboard does not pre-moderate User Content but reserves the right (without obligation) to remove or restrict access to any content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law.
You acknowledge that streamboard acts as a hosting provider, not a publisher, of User Content, and that any views expressed in User Content are those of the user who created it, not of streamboard.
11. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Organisations using the Service for processing personal data on behalf of others may request a Data Processing Agreement at support@usestreamboard.com — see our DPA for the standard terms.
12. Service Availability
streamboard is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We aim for high availability and best-effort uptime, but we do not currently offer a formal uptime SLA. Status updates are posted to support@usestreamboard.com on request; a public status page will be linked here once available. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any feature) at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, streamboard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid to streamboard in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless streamboard and its operators against any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your User Content, (b) your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right. We will provide you with prompt notice of any such claim and reasonable cooperation in defending it.
15. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. On termination, sections 7 (User Content licence), 12 (Service Availability), 13 (Limitation of Liability), 14 (Indemnification), and 17 (Governing Law) survive.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service (an in-app modal asking you to review and accept the updated Terms before continuing) and, where we have your email, by transactional email. Continued use of the Service after a Terms update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in this section affects any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under your local law.
